About Our Team
Pamela Tharp, O.D. and Robert Tharp, O.D.
Dr. Rob and Dr. Pam are the owners of Tharp Family Eye Care which was created in 1997. Both doctors were born and raised in Oklahoma and graduated with honors from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry. They practiced in Lawton, Oklahoma for eight years before moving to Mississippi. They raised their family in Mississippi and consider it home. The Tharps enjoy spending time with their four children, two daughters-in-law and five granddogs but they wouldn’t mind some grandchildren! They love to have crazy themed family dinners and enjoy traveling.
Judy
Judy is the glue that holds the office together. She has worked with the Tharps since 1998. Judy is calm, caring, and professional and remembers everyone’s name! She can handle any problem and is always positive. Judy’s smiling face is usually the first thing you are greeted with when you enter the office. Judy loves teaching God’s word (and she’s really great at it!), spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
Christina
Christina has been with the practice since 2004. She always connects with patients instantly and she truly can “do it all”. She handles a lot of the contact lens ordering and dispensing and she is usually the one texting to tell you your contacts have arrived. Christina is a great multitasker and can handle anything thrown at her. J attended Alcorn State University and is an awesome mother of three amazing boys. Her motto is LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH!
Sophia
Sophia started working with the Tharps in 2012. Her positivity and sweet voice make her a joy to be around. In addition to her awesome communication skills, Sophia has a degree in computer science so she’s always the one to go to with computer problems! She makes patients feel welcome and comfortable. Sophia loves spending time with her family (she has a beautiful girl and handsome boy), singing, traveling, and church activities.
Quila
Quila started at Tharp Family Eye Care in 2012. She is detail oriented, a fast learner, and is very reliable- you can always count on Quila! She spreads joy and is great at making patients feel comfortable. Quila has an early childhood care certification so she’s awesome with our younger patients. She loves her fur baby, Kash, and enjoys mingling with her family and her friends. She enjoys life daily!
